O say can you see
by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched
were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare,
the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thru the night
that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled
banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free
and the home of the brave?

(우리 깃발은 아직도 거기에 있었다)
이 부분은 뒤에 나오는 banner yet wave와 함께
뭔가 모르게 굳은 결심까지 갖게 한다.
남의 나라 국가지만
듣고만 있어도 저절로 애국심이 솟아오른다.
대한민국 애국가, 바꿔야 한다.
지금 애국가는 애국가 제정과정부터 내용까지 정말 문제가 많다.
